Exotic California Adventures... Having traveled to California many times on business over the years, as a couple we discovered romantic getaways throughout this wonderful State. There are so many romantic, adventureous, and interesting places to experience:

  • San Diego... Coronado and...

    La Jolla (with the Salk Institute over looking the Pacific, The high cliffs with hang gliders above Black's Beach, and Torrey Pines Golf Resort), Embarcadero Marine Park and...

    the world famous San Diego Zoo

  • On up the coast to Los Angeles - Hollywood, Santa Monica (home of Jack Tripper and the "girls"), and Malibu; and...

  • Monterey - a summer time escape from the heat;

  • Our Favorite romantic getaway is San Francisco - City of Magic...

  • On to our next adventure... traveling through Yosemite National Park on our way to Lake Tahoe and Reno, NV. The views throughout the park are fantastic!

    We love to drive through the park, to one side is a creek with clear, cold water rushing over stones and fly-fishermen standing hip-deep, casting for fish.

    Then majestic Half Dome comes into view...

    Stunning scenery is visable throughout the park drive!

    The collection of waterfalls in Yosemite is one of the most magnificent in the world, due to the "hanging valleys" left by the formation of the Yosemite Valley itself, and the wet climate characteristic of the park. As a result, 5 of the Yosemite Valley's falls are among the 10 highest waterfalls on earth. There's Angel Falls, and...

    Perhaps the most famous of the waterfalls is the double waterfall known as Yosemite Falls, which falls a total of 2,425 feet. There are three separate sections--the Upper Falls (1,430 feet), a middle falls (675 feet), and the lower section (320 feet).

  • On to Lake Tahoe and Reno, NV... the "BIGGEST Little City in the World."

    The bright lights and excitement of Reno give a taste of Las Vegas!

    After a night of excitement, we took the ski lift, enjoying the views from the top of Mt. Rose.

    Then we drove around Lake Tahoe, past Squaw Valley, visiting several old towns, including the famous mining town of Silver City.
