Adventure Travel... Vegas to Salt Lake City
- Vegas to Salt Lake City Adventure...
Our exciting adventure travel started from our home up against the mountain. We lived 1200 feet above Las Vegas, looking past the Stratosphere Casino. The wide open expansive valley stretched out beyond the "Strip" to Henderson, Boulder City, and Lake Mead. Colorful hot air balloons rose early in the morning at sun-rise, passing near and over our home in Summerlin.
- Bingo, Racing, and Golf...
Up Hwy.15... Past the Santa Fe Casino, one of our favorite bingo places, a little further is the Las Vegas Speedway.
Rounding a bend, stretching out in the distance is the beautiful river valley and quaint little town of Mesquite (right on the Nevada/Utah border). Mesquite has golf courses, casinos (we absolutely love the lucious buffets), and a fabulous new Del Webb retirement community.
Venturing on toward Salt Lake, a short distance inside Utah is the refreshing small town of St. George.
- National Parks - Bryce Canyon, Zion, Arches, and Monument Valley...
Majestic Bryce Canyon
Beautiful Zion
 Stupendous Arches
 Fantastic Monument Valley
June in Salt Lake City... Snow still caps the majestic mountains surrounding the city. We enjoy seeing downtown's exciting architecture, site of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.
We are thrilled with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and gorgeous Temple.
Our tour is completed with a visit to the Great Salt Lake, which is very similar to the Dead Sea of Israel.
